will-to wish; desire; like: Go where you will. Ask, if you will, who the owner is.

masses-aggregate; whole (usually prec. by in the): People, in the mass, mean well.

supercedes- overwrites

rights-civil rights

individual- a single human being as distinguished from a group

mankind-the human race; human beings collectively without reference to sex; humankind.

inherently-existing in someone or something as a permanent and inseparable element, quality, or attribute

okay... I'm done with the repetitive spirals of depression now! Sugarbaby

My dog, best friend, and beloved family member, Sugarbaby died today. At the same time I was out having the time of my life. I won't post for a while. Find news elsewhere. I don't care where, but don't waste your time here.

Today we published issue #1 of our newspaper! *applause* I know write? Ha! I made a pun.. Post comments!!!!!!!!

Drumline

Yesterday November 11, 2009, the Shortridge Drumline played not only in the Veteran's Day parade, but also at the Bands of America National Grand Championships! Afterwards, the the Ridge, as my friends would say, "killed it" I.O.W we out played them in the parking lot. I didn't get home til' 11:00 p.m; but it was well worth it :) We ra into Ms. Kimbrough and Mr. Cosby in the stands. Mr. Cosby bought David and I drinks and corrected our grammar. (yes, you MUST know this. lol) Another Drumline performance tommorrow! can you wait?!?!?

Instrument Lessons

Instrument lessons w/ Ms. Bierer, woodwinds, or Ms. Mason, brass, will be held in the music hallway on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 10$ for those whom it may concern. ME! and those of you who don't just play in band because you have to!!!
P.S. If you play clarinet, piano, or drums and read this PLEASE COMMENT!!!

Pep Band

I don't know what the deal with pep band is, but I am in it. I don't know if we'll have it Monday November 9, 2009 because we have drumline that night...

Chemistry

Next Chemistry visit to Butler University will be on Monday, November 9, 2009.

Oh, btw,

On the laptops, I forgot to mention, we will have weekly updates on their condition every Friday, which will be sent to the presidents, senators, and Mrs. Smith by our Representatives. Sorry I forgot to mention this earlier.
And on Drumline stuff, if you want free tickets to the B.O.A performance, talk to Kathy Spangler, the band director. Or, Nick Catron, Drumline Instructor, however, Nick 1 only stays after, as he is a volunteer, and does not stay here all day because he does not need to! Or, hey, if you get your name and # of tickets to me I can get to Mrs. Spangler for you!

Newspaper

I know what your thinking: OMG! We have a newspaper?!?! Me: Yes, we do, and it's called the Daily Echo. Unfortunatley, our Thumb Drive is on the fritz, so we can't publish it yet:( Don't you just hate technical difficulties? Well, to tell you the truth, even though I'm the Editor of the Out Of My Mind column, and it's only journalist, I think I like the Haunts Of Shortridge articles just as much. There, you have my own, un-biased opinion. I am also the Co-Editor and Chief of our beloved Daily Echo. In the first copy of the Daily Echo, look for: The Daily Echo Echos Back, and Student Body Presidents Interviews. The Daily Echo was the first daily school newspaper, and we're bringin' her back!

Drumline Performances

This week, those of you interested, Shortridge's Drumline has several performances. We have nothing Monday. On Tuesday, we will be playing for the entire school, and no, I don't know any more than that. We will also be playing at the basketball game after school that day, which complicates things for me, as I also have to report the game for newspaper :l On Wednesday, we will march in the Veteran's Day Parade. WOO! We will aslo be playing in the (B)ands (O)f
(A)merica at Lucas Oil Stadium. Me-*shivers* Is it cold in here? I don't think we have anything the rest of the week, but I'll let ya know if we do.

Student Court Me-Ooo I hope I don't get caught here

Alrighty! The student court will be of course, only used in extreme cases. I am not sure who the judge will be. However, the jury (drumroll please!) will be the ENTIRE freshmen body. You will be sent here for damaging laptops severely enough. So take care! I'll post more on this subject as I learn more!

Laptops *crowd gasps* Will you stop that?!?!

Okay, we had some ideas, but they have not yet been approved. Of course, to get expensive equipment (I.E laptops) you'll have to prove you're responsible enough! The way we thought to have this proven is if we distribute laptops in the following order:
1: Students with A-C
2: Students with D's and F's that prove that they are disciplined
3: Students who are often in ISS
4: (it's questionable that these students will even get laptops) Students with OSS

Cool! Okay, yesterday, Saturday, November 7, 2009, the Shortridge Drumline (I'm in it!!!) went to Methodist Church to play for the people jogging by! We even helped pass out Cliffs (caffiene supplements:( ) and water! I had fun!
